Experts Predict Brighter Displays, Smarter PCs and Home Robotics at CES 2026
TV and Audio: Brighter Screens, Richer Colors
Televisions announced at CES 2026 are expected to deliver major improvements in brightness and color performance. New display standards such as Dolby Vision 2 and Samsung’s HDR10 Plus Advanced will help push peak brightness levels to more than twice those of current models.
OLED TVs will also benefit from advancements like LG’s four-stack OLED technology, which layers multiple OLED panels to produce brighter images. On the color front, manufacturers are targeting displays capable of covering 100% of the BT.2020 color standard, a milestone not yet reached in consumer televisions.
In audio, some of the most impressive products at CES often come from emerging brands. Multiroom audio systems, desktop speakers and personal music players frequently debut just before the show opens and often become standout highlights of the week.
Computers: More Power, Better Efficiency
CES remains a major launchpad for the PC industry, showcasing everything from ultraportable laptops to high-performance gaming machines. CES 2026 is expected to feature a new wave of laptops powered by Intel’s Panther Lake processors.
These chips are designed to deliver strong performance alongside excellent battery life, with improved integrated graphics that may eliminate the need for discrete GPUs in many systems. Some variants could also appear in next-generation gaming handhelds.
Mobile: Thin, Foldable and AI-Driven
CES 2026 is expected to continue the trend toward ultra-thin and foldable smartphones. Manufacturers such as Samsung, Honor and Huawei have already introduced slim and flexible designs, and more concepts are likely to appear at the show.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold, featuring three display panels, is among the designs drawing attention. Alongside new form factors, mobile AI remains a major focus, with companies continuing to integrate AI features across devices.
Home Tech: Smarter Appliances and Robotics
Artificial intelligence continues to shape home technology, with CES 2026 expected to showcase more robots designed to assist with everyday tasks such as cleaning, cooking and home security.
Large appliances are also becoming smarter, featuring larger hub screens and deeper app integration. While an affordable laundry-folding robot may not arrive this year, progress in home robotics suggests it may not be far away.
